Home Buying Tips to Win in Today’s Market!

When it comes to buying a house there are many things to consider from beginning to end and hopefully, these tips and tricks can help you in that process.

There are approximately 195 steps in one home-buying transaction! In addition to trying to understand how it works, you must also become educated on the different types of loans and programs available. But let’s start with the basics and go from there.

1. Work with an experienced Realtor! – They can help guide you through the process, offer programs in lending, and represent you in this LEGAL contract so that you don’t get the wrong house that turns into the money pit!

2. Figure out what loan is best for you and your financial situation currently. There are lots of programs but the loans can be conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, and each one has different requirements so be sure to learn about them in depth!

3. Keep that credit score where it is or higher! Ask for assistance from your bank or lender on what you can do to keep your credit score high enough to qualify but also keep it there or better for the completion of your loan. Don’t go out and buy a car if you are in the process of buying a home or it could make the entire deal fall through!

4. Take notes on everything you are doing in this transaction. The lenders’ information requirements, deadlines, the money needed, deadlines for moving, and the overall goal you have in mind for this investment.

5. Trust the realtor that you hired to be giving you the best most accurate information in regards to what to do in negotiations, repairs, or amendments. They do this every single day and you might only do it a few times in your lifetime. They should be your go-to for everything real estate and if they aren’t find another realtor!
